NORMAL BREATHING SOUNDS AND SUPPLEMENT
Our friend, this
time we will discuss the Respiratory Sounds Normal and Extra. This type of
breathing sounds normal and there is nothing to be abnormal. Immediately, we
entered into discussion.
A. NORMAL BREATHING SOUNDS
The sound of normal
breathing consists of phases breath (inspiration) and exhalation (expiration).
Normal breath sounds there are 4 sound, among others:
Tracheal
Tracheal has
characteristics that sounds very rough and hard and high and heard about in the
trachea at ekstratoraks. Sounds the same length between inspiration and
expiration. However, this is rarely assessed tracheal sound because it does not
reflect the clinical lung problems.
Bronchial
Bronchial sound has
characteristics that sounds loud and high pitch, when likened to the air flowing
in the pipeline. Her long expiratory sound longer than inspiration and there is
a lag between the two phases. This sound can be heard in the area manubrium
sterni.
Bronkovesikuler
Bronkovesikuler
sound can be said is a mixture of sounds bronchial and vesicular sounds. Long
expiration and inspiration of the same length. Usually can be heard on the
first and second intercostal space in front of the chest and if you want to
hear in the chest behind then heard among the scapula. This sound was near the
carina and main bronchus.
Vesicular
Vesicular sound is
sound weak and low tone, usually can be heard in all parts of the lung
parenchyma. Length is longer than the expiration inspiration.
At the time of
auscultation, it must be heard the following sounds:
- The breathing, the breath sounds were normal, can be vesicular, bronchial, tracheal, or bronkovesikuler
- Additional breath sounds, can be derived from the lungs, pleura or mediastinum
- Whisper, the examiner asks the patient to say a few words with sputters. Normally would not be heard in parts of the lung parenchyma.
- Voice conversation, normally will not be heard in parts of the lung parenchyma, but when it came it will be referred to as positive Bronkofoni.
B. BREATHING SOUNDS SUPPLEMENT
Rales
Divided into 3 Rales
Subtle, Moderate, Rough:
- Rales Fine: characteristics which are continuous, high-pitched sound heard in the final refined gemesir inspiration that indicate the presence of fluid in the alveoli. The reason could be due to Penumonia and congestive heart failure.
- Rales Medium: characteristics which are continuous, wet, moderate tone, sounding at the beginning or middle of inspiration, can disappear with cough, showed fluid in the bronchi and bronchioles. The reason could be due to pulmonary edema.
- Rales Rough: characteristics that sounds loud, bubbly, low tone, audible expiration, disappear with cough, showed fluid in the bronchi and bronchioles. The reason could be due to pneumonia with lung symptoms have subsided or bronchitis.
Rhonchi (wheezing)
Divided into two,
namely resonant and crackles crackles sibilant:
- Sonor crackles: main characteristics of continuous sound, such as snoring, low tone, audible in all phases of the breathing, lost by coughing, reflecting the involvement of the bronchi and trachea. The reason could be due to bronchitis.
- Crackles Sibilant: characteristics is the continuous sound, musical, high-pitched sounds in the middle until the end of expiration, reflecting the edema and airway obstruction, may be heard by auscultation. The cause is asthma.
If wheezing is heard
during inspiration, then the cause is high obstruction. If the sound at the
time of expiration it sound like whistling, loud, high-pitched, and the cause
is a low obstruction.
Pleural friction
rub: sounds like grate, rub hard, high tone may be heard during inspiration or
expiration. The cause is due to an inflamed pleural surfaces.
Well our friend,
Thank you for visiting the Science Lovers. This is article is about the sound
of Breathing Normal and Extra, may be useful for all my friends.
