DEFINITION, FUNCTIONS AND COMPUTER COMPONENTS

Today's modern era, humans are very dependent on life-support equipment. Electronic device is a type that we unknowingly become a basic requirement that must be met. A. DEFINITION COMPUTER

According to Donald H Sanders in the book Computer Today, computer is an electronic system to manipulate data that is fast, precise and designed and organized in order to automatically receive and store input data, process it and produce the output under the control of a step-by-step, the instruction program stored in the memory (stored program).

From the definitions above, it can be concluded that the computer is a collection of machine counters which have a storage area or storage, can receive input data quickly, to process data quickly, and produce data information quickly that is useful and in accordance with the wishes of the user (user ). - Computers can be used also as a means of business in many ways, the value of the computer is very promising trade and other businesses that use computers as a tool such as architectural design, programming, companies that process data up and down the rate of profit, even internet cafes.
- The health sector include the functioning of the computer to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the examination of the disease or pregnancy (USG).

- Computers can strengthen national defense and certain buildings that are automatically controlled by a computer. Such as CCTV, fire alarms and storing important files state.

- In the field of computer education can facilitate the learning process we are in preparing materials with a computer presentation.

- The day-to-day computer and even serves as a means of entertainment by providing fun games to play.

C. COMPONENTS OF COMPUTER

In a computer system, there are three components that can never be separated. If these components separately, the computer is not going to work. Then, what are its components?

1. Hardware (Hardware)

D. HOW TO COMPUTER WORK

If a computer is only made up of hardware only such as a monitor, CPU, keyboard, can not be said as a computer.
