WHAT IS PROGRAMMING ?
Programming is the process of writing,
testing and repair (debug), and maintain the code that builds a computer
program. The code is written in various programming languages. The purpose of
programming is to load a program that can perform a calculation or 'work' in
accordance with the wishes of the programmer (programmer). To be able to do
programming, required skills in algorithms, logic, programming languages, and
in many cases, the knowledges such as mathematics.
Programming is an art of using one or
more algorithms that are interconnected by means of a specific programming
language so that it becomes a computer program. Different programming languages
support different styles of programming. This programming style is usually
called programming paradigms.
Programming the software is more of an
art, science, or engineering has long been debated. Good programmers usually
combine these three things, in order to create an efficient program, both in
terms of the running time (run time), or memory.
Programming is a material that is widely
used in various computer competitions in Indonesia and the world. At the high
school level, for example, programming competed in the National Science
Olympiad every year. Thirtieth medalist in the National Science Olympiad later
became Olympic Team Computer Indonesia, and go through the National Training
that selects four representatives to attend the International Science Olympiad
field of Information (International Olympiad in Informatics), which is held
annually.
