1. METHODS IN
GENERAL SOCIOLOGY
Broadly speaking,
Sociology research method divides into two categories, namely:
A. QUALITATIVE
METHODS
Qualitative methods
are methods that prioritize are difficult to measure with numbers, even though
the incident occurred in the community significantly. Grouping a result of
research into Qualitative Methods if these results can not be described
mathematically
B. METHOD OF
QUANTITATIVE
Quantitative method
is a method of prioritizing research based on research by the numbers or
symptoms that can be measured with mathematical scale such as tables, graphs,
and statistical tests. Data measurement mathematically does not require
researchers to master the science of sociology statistics are high, because the
only observations using simple mathematical sciences such as finding the

a. STATISTICAL
METHODS
Statistical method

b. EXPERIMENTAL
METHOD

c. INDUCTIVE METHOD

d. Deductive method
Deductive method is
a method used to study something that is common to get a result or conclusion
then studied at a state narrower or more specific.
e. CASE STUDY
METHODS
Case Study method is
a method used to examine the truth of the events that occurred with the
observations of a situation, individuals, and groups. Tool - a tool used in the
case studies is the interview, questions - questions questionnaire, researchers
and technical involvement in an issue.
f. FIELD SURVEY
METHOD
Field survey method

g. METHOD OF
PARTICIPATION
Participation method
is a method used to carry out an in-depth study on a particular group. In order

h. EMPIRICAL METHOD
AND rationalistic
Empirical method is a method that uses a

Rationalistic method is a method that uses
common sense to find and review the issues related to the community.
i. METHOD
functionalism
Functionalism method
is a method used to assess how the functions of a civil society and social
structures in the community.
j. STUDY METHODS
LITERATURE
Library Studies
method is a method that utilizes a variety of literature and books to get the
data. This method does not require a lot of costs because it can use the
library to get a lot of sources. However, researchers must have the ability to
search for a book - a book that is consistent with the topics to be discussed.
