Tails T-Rex, Speed Lock & Abilities hunting
T-rex is very much different compared to a lumbering scavenger Krateseus times that tail length only serves as a counterbalance weight of the front of his big head.

T-rex athletic ability (and rear) are reconstructed by Scott Persons who are graduates of the University of Alberta. Research shows that the extent of the tail muscles are very strong making the giant carnivore one of the fastest on the hunters of its time.
As quoted by Science Blog (11/15/10), Persons says, "contrary to earlier theories, T-rex store more than just junk in its tail."
Persons who cultivate the fields of paleontology began his research by comparing the tails of modern reptiles like crocodiles and Komodo dragons tail T-rex. Of all the animals in his research, Persons found that the biggest muscles in the tail are attached to upper leg bones. This kaudofemoralis muscles provide the power of motion that allows the rapid movement toward the front.
However, Persons found that the T-rex had one crucial difference in its tail structure.
Tails T-rex and other modern animals are given form and strength by the ribs attached to the backbone. Persons found that the ribs in the tail of the T-rex is located more to the top of the tail. This leaves more space on the bottom of the tail to the development and enlargement of muscle kaudofemoralis. Without the ribs that limit the size of kaudofemoralis muscle, the muscle becomes stronger power that enables T-rex running.
Persons extensive measurements by the bones of the T-rex as well as computer modeling showed that the previous assessment of the muscle mass of dinosaurs is estimated lower by about 45 percent.
This causes the T-rex researchers previously believed that the animal is a shortage of muscle mass needed to run that by thus restricting the ability of the hunt. Deficiencies limit the speed of T-rex role only as scavengers are only able to survive by eating animals killed by other predators.
To speed the T-rex precisely, the researchers say that it is difficult to measure, but Persons said that the animal seemed to chase and catch other animals in the ecosystem.
The study is published in the journal Anatomical Record.
